How do I cancel my policy?

Your right to withdraw from the car insurance contract: "Cooling-off period"

When you purchase an insurance policy from us, you have a fourteen-day period during which you can change your mind and withdraw from the contract. This fourteen-day period starts from the date on which your policy commences or the date on which you receive your policy documents, whichever is later. If you decide to cancel your policy during this period, your insurer may make a proportionate charge for the time your insurance has been in force, and a proportionate charge may also be made for any add-on policies you may have taken. In addition, we will retain a charge up to £15 for the set up of the policy. As long as you have not made any claims, any other money you may have paid us will then be refunded. If you wish to exercise your right to withdraw from your insurance policy you should advise us of this by calling us on 0845 217 6470 or by writing to us at:

UIA (Insurance) Ltd
Prospect House
Gordon Banks Drive
Trentham Lakes North
Stoke-on-Trent
ST4 4TW

You must return with this letter any Cover Note or Certificate of Insurance we have sent to you.

In the event that your policy is cancelled after the 14 day cooling off period but prior to renewal we will apply a non-refundable fee to recover commission lost by the policy cancellation.
